Also, if media filtration is chosen as the solution to your smoke issue, you may wish to "oversize" the application slightly, as airflow will decrease as the filters load with particles.

Sometimes it is a good idea to choose multiple smaller air cleaners rather than one large smoke eater, even if the airflow is adequate. The reason for this is simply creating effective airflow patterns. For instance, in an oddly shaped room, coverage area is bound to decrease if the smoke eater must battle corners and partitions for clean air delivery.
