In 1973, Smokemaster, Inc. began producing air filtration systems for the removal of tobacco smoke. The next year, they began manufacturing commercial air cleaning products for a leading name in that field and became Air Quality Engineering.

Over the past 30 years, AQE has manufactured most of their air cleaners to utilize the Coanda Airflow Pattern, which theorizes a 360° circulation of room air to ensure optimal airflow patterns. AQE have manufactured their smoke eater equipment to be highly efficient, cost effective, and reliable. The most popular Air Quality Engineering smoke eater brands are: Smokemaster, EverClear, and MiracleAir. Although they started out primarily dealing with commercial smoke eaters, Air Quality Engineering also manufactures a variety of mist eliminators, dust collectors, and fume extractors, delving into the industrial market with the same principles that made them so popular amongst the commercial and hospitality industry.

The Smokemaster and Everclear line of air cleaners by air quality engineering are self-contained electronic systems.

The Smokemaster is a commercial smoke eater that is ideal for restaurants, bars and bingo halls or any other facility where cigarette smoke is a concern. the Smokemaster smoke eater includes the coanda airflow pattern. This smoke eater draws dirty air though the bottom as the air is circulated in 4 directions through the top.

The Everclear line of cigarette smoke eater systems are HEPA style air cleaners that is great for more then just smoke. Everclear smoke eaters can reduce the amount of dust, smoke, pollen and other particles. 44lbs of activated carbon modules remove odors and vapor. Everclear also features the coanda airflow pattern removing dirty air though the bottom and recirculation though the 4 way outlet at the top.
